All Over Uruguay

The past 5 days I was able to travel all around the south of Uruguay. I went to Montevideo, Maldonado, Punta del Este, Piriapolis and Canelones. It was absolutely one of the best things I've ever been able to do.

Liceo No. 5

I go to Liceo No. 5 here in Salto. Luli and I go to school at 1pm and we walk 4 blocks to get there. We have six or seven classes a day. A majority of the time at least one of our teachers won't come so we get to leave early or we have an hour of free time (depending when their class is). 

There are about 30 kids in my class and we have one classroom that we stay in all day. After every class we have a five minute break to get a drink or food. Our teachers move around instead of the students.

Most of the time in school I just sit around, sleep, or play sodoku since everything in school is in Spanish. The only classes I really understand are English, Math and Physics. So school is boring except for all of the kids always wanting to know bad words in English. It keeps things entertaining!

BBQ!

Last weekend my family took me to a BBQ. They do it a little differently here....

Asado is a very important part of Uruguayan culture. Its how the people come together. Its common on a Sunday to have a BBQ with asado, play cards, and watch a futbol game.

This past weekend my sister and our friend Andre went to a lake that divides Uruguay and Argentina! We were able to walk to an island because the tide was so low. Just some pictures of our adventure
